Escrow Officer

Job Summary
Prepares buyers and sellers for real estate transactions and processes the paperwork necessary to close.

General Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the escrow and transfer of funds for buyers, sellers and lenders.
  • Acts as an intermediary between all parties involved in the transaction.
  • Reviews real estate contracts and deeds.
  • Orders surveys, municipal lien searches, condo estoppels as necessary for the transaction
  • Prepares title invoices
  • Helps clear title
  • Prepares Closing Disclosures and Settlement Statements for buyers, sellers and lenders.
  • Prepares seller conveyance packages and buyer title documents for execution
  • Schedules local and mobile notaries to conduct closings
  • Obtains funding approval from lenders and parties
  • Makes sure that all parties fulfill their legal and financial obligations before funds are disbursed and escrow transactions are completed.

Job Qualifications
Experience: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures (Florida Title License) with at least 2-3 years of related experience

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, Service orientation, Judgment and decision making, Critical thinking, Time Management
