Teacher's Aide - Daly City, California

Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Paraprofessional Instructional Aid in a vibrant elementary school community north of San Francisco! This contract opportunity starts August 17th, 2026, and extends through June 11th, 2027, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in a general education classroom setting.

With full-time hours (32.5 hours per week), you'll be assigned to one of several welcoming elementary campuses, assisting either Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten students or those in grades 1–5. Schedules may run from 7:45am–2:45pm or 8:00am–3:00pm to ensure well-rounded support and smooth transitions during before and after school periods.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Aid, especially within school environments
• Comfort and willingness to assist young children with toileting/diapering as part of daily support
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with teachers and staff
• Completion of paraprofessional training (required before assignment begins)
• Adaptability to different elementary age groups and classroom settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to teachers, focusing on academic activities and student engagement
• Assist in maintaining a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all students
• Offer hands-on help to children during learning activities, transitions, meals, and restroom routines
• Support students’ social-emotional growth by encouraging positive behavior and independence
