Fleet Mechanic

The Fleet Mechanic plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of vehicles and equipment, including brands such as Ford, Cummins, JLG, LGMG, Doosan, and Perkins. Working within a small team of 1-3 mechanics and reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this position involves performing both routine and emergency repairs, ensuring all vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Occasional travel to off-site locations is required to support operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and engine repair on diverse equipment brands
• Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify mechanical issues
• Service hydraulic systems and manage preventive maintenance schedules
• Handle tools safely and maintain compliance with safety standards
• Replace faulty parts and ensure proper record keeping of repairs
• Support both routine maintenance and emergency repair duties

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance
• Technical diploma in automotive or diesel mechanics
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Expertise in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and preventive maintenance practices
• Proficient in tool operation, problem solving, and attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills
