Diesel Mechanic - commercial/ heavy equipment

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician specializing in commercial and heavy equipment maintenance. This role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, axles, electrical systems, air brakes and other components on large commercial trucks and heavy vehicles. The technician will work primarily within a mid-sized or small team, reporting directly to the manager. Daily work balances routine maintenance tasks and complex repairs to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform diesel engine repairs and diagnostics on commercial and heavy equipment
• Maintain and repair axles to ensure proper vehicle function
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and air brake systems on heavy vehicles
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of heavy equipment
• Replace worn or defective parts to maintain vehicle safety and performance

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in diesel mechanic work.
• Proficient in diesel engine repair, axle repair, and electrical systems diagnosis
• Experienced in heavy equipment maintenance and safety compliance
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
