Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Tech to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This role demands a deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Installation & Commissioning: Install, connect, and commission new electrical systems, equipment, and components, including motors, transformers, generators, and control systems.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize operational downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in safety drills and training.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including inspections, repairs, and modifications, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in this role. Offshore experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, motors, drives, and control systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting P&ID’s, SAFE Charts, Cause and Effect, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Working Conditions:
- Schedule: As Required.
- Work in various weather conditions, including exposure to high winds, heavy machinery noise, and confined spaces.
- Physically demanding tasks may be required, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
