Overview
We're looking for a reliable, motivated, and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Mechanicsburg, PA. In this leadership role, you'll oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our residential community while working alongside the maintenance team to ensure apartments, common areas, and building systems are well maintained. This is a Full-Time opportunity with the following schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule. Receive additional pay when on call.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and support the maintenance team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Prioritize, assign, and monitor daily work orders, preventative maintenance, and apartment turnover schedules.
- Complete routine and preventative maintenance requests in occupied apartments, including troubleshooting and repairing common household appliances.
- Perform and oversee apartment turnovers to prepare vacant units for new residents.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and follow up on outstanding maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with management, vendors, and contractors to complete projects on time.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment, and tools, and assist with ordering materials as needed.
- Assist with property inspections and develop action plans for repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents, responding promptly to maintenance concerns and providing excellent customer service.
- Participate in a rotating after-hours/weekend emergency on-call schedule (paid at time and a half).
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist with snow removal, seasonal maintenance, and other property improvement projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential or multifamily maintenance experience, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general repairs.
- Experience assigning work, training team members, and coordinating maintenance operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of appliance repair; HVAC certification or EPA Certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license (company vehicle provided during work hours).
- Reliable transportation to and from work in Mechanicsburg, PA.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance duties.
- Clean criminal background.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $23.00–$27.00/hour starting rate, based on experience, with opportunities for advancement.
