Senior Accountant
Job Description
As a Finance Accounting Manager, you will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, you will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Reconciliations
- Month End Close
- Payroll Accounting in Toast Payroll
- AP Credit Card Clean Up
- Process Improvement
- Obtains revenue by processing invoices, resolving missed payments, and updating financial records
- Collects accounts by contacting customers, investigating circumstances of non-payment; negotiating and resolving conflicts; expediting payment.
- Supports financial planning by forecasting cash.
- Updates receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions.
- Maintains financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by posting monthly account transactions.
- Leads the month-end closing process, including accounts payable to general ledger account reconciliations
- Proficiency using accounts payable software.
- Records all accounts payable transactions.
- Follows accounting and tax laws and standards.
- Investigates accounts payable issues as needed.
- Prioritizes invoices according to payment terms and cash
management strategies and verified all invoices, performing
a 3-way PO match for appropriate documentation - Sets the accounts payable departmental budget.
- Ensures payments are made accurately and on time.
- Correlated invoices with check stubs, obtaining executive
signatures for checks, and distributing checks to
employees each pay period
Minimum Qualifications:
5 to 7 years progressive accounting experience
Multi Unit / Multi Entity Experience
Strong Reconciliations
Month End Close - Strong
- Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations
• Experience with accounting software and databases
• Superior data management and data analysis skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
• Work experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager, preferably 5 or more years
