Diesel/Gas Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel/Gas Mechanic for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Mobile, AL, working Monday through Friday on the day shift. The ideal candidate will have their own tools and experience inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel- and gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, engine diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and minimizing equipment downtime while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
• Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems, and other vehicle components.
• Service diesel- and gasoline-powered trucks, trailers, construction equipment, and fleet vehicles.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow company safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel and/or gas mechanic.
• Must provide your own tools.
• Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
