JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor (Full-Time Position)
Department: Shipping & Receiving
Reports To: General Manager
SUMMARY
Woodland Wood Preservers Ltd. is continuously seeking highly driven and enthusiastic people to join our skilled and dedicated team. Salary position working Mon-Fri 6:00am-4:30pm with some overtime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Includes, but not limited to the following:
- Oversee unloading inbound materials from company trucks or outside carriers.
- Oversee loading company trucks and outside carriers with material scheduled for the next day deliveries
- Interview and hire forklift drivers as needed
- Oversee Company Safety program
- Process shipping document paperwork for outbound freight
- Process inbound loads paperwork, including inventory tagging
- Communicate with management, drivers, sales, and dispatch daily
- Work with Environmental Compliance Team
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years lumber/shipping & receiving or comparable experience preferably in a supervisor capacity
- Forklift experience loading/unloading flatbed trucks
- Education beyond high school a plus but not required
- Can perform basic math and use basic hand-held measuring tools
- Must have strong work ethic and strong organizational skills
- Be able to stand and/or walk throughout your shift
- Possess working knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations
- Basic First Aid and CPR certified (or ability to obtain certification)
- Is comfortable in a fast-paced and growing environment
- PC skills is a plus
