Substance Abuse Clinician

This Therapist will provide specialized care in a six-bed residential treatment setting, utilizing a bio-social approach to address substance use disorders. The role involves delivering both individual and group therapy sessions, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and supporting patients throughout their recovery journey. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, the therapist will focus on residential patients, ensuring coordinated care and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions for residential patients
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and recovery
• Develop and implement bio-social treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Perform patient assessments to inform treatment progress and adjustments
• Manage crisis situations with appropriate intervention strategies
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
• Coordinate care with clinical team members to ensure comprehensive support
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychology
• Experience in Substance Use Disorder treatment
• Skilled in individual and group therapy facilitation
• Proficient in treatment planning and crisis intervention
• Strong patient assessment capabilities
• Knowledge of the bio-social treatment approach
• Excellent empathy and communication skills
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice
