Project Superintendent – Direct Hire
Cedar Park Group is recruiting on behalf of a respected environmental and civil construction company seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead field operations and oversee projects from start to finish. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a hands-on construction leader with a strong background in managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining a safe and productive job site, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Location: Canastota, NY but not one location - must be able to travel
Pay: $95,000 - $110,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Travel Required: This position is not based at a single job site. Candidates must be willing and able to travel throughout the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions as project needs dictate.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily field operations and supervise construction crews
- Maintain a strong safety culture and enforce company safety standards
- Coordinate equipment, manpower, and subcontractors
- Work closely with Project Managers to meet schedules and project milestones
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Track production, quantities, and project progress
- Identify potential change orders and communicate project needs
- Submit daily reports and weekly equipment utilization reports
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, and regulatory agencies throughout the project
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent or Civil Construction Superintendent
- Experience managing civil construction or environmental remediation projects
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications
- Knowledge of GPS machine control and grade control systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Current OSHA certification (required)
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Willingness to travel
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, medical exam, and background check
