Heavy Equipment Mechanic

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and tractors.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.
• . Repair transmissions, brakes, suspension, and HVAC systems as needed
• operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed on all machinery.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment, dealership experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance.
• Familiarity with OEM parts and specifications for various machinery brands including Caterpillar.
• Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, forklift operations, and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and performing assembly tasks.
• Understanding of hydraulics, air brake systems, alignment procedures and tire service.
• Ability to lift heavy objects as required for equipment repair tasks.
• Electrical experience and soldering skills are a plus.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to read schematics effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
