Duties/Responsibilities

The Hospital Psychiatric Clinician’s primary role is to provide therapeutic interventions to patients, including psychotropic medication management, psychosocial rehabilitation, skill building, linkage to community resources, rapport building, and relapse prevention planning. The Hospital Psychiatric Clinician will play a key role in the psychiatric admission process, completing comprehensive assessments for admitting patients and supporting appropriate level-of-care determinations. As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Hospital Psychiatric Clinician will engage with clients in clinic-based and community-based settings and work closely with the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team and the Assistant Clinical Manager to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. The clinician will utilize DSM-5 criteria and clinical expertise to make accurate diagnoses, develop initial treatment plans, and complete ongoing treatment plan reviews based on patient needs. The Hospital Psychiatric Clinician will maintain a strong focus on completing ANSA assessments accurately and within required timeframes to support treatment planning and program requirements. Additionally, the clinician will oversee the FACT secondary team lead, providing clinical guidance and supporting effective team coordination. The Hospital Psychiatric Clinician will provide individual psychoeducational and therapeutic interventions using didactic and directive approaches, collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to improve patient symptomology, and ensure all required clinical documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Required Skills:

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to engage professionally with clientele, staff, and external collaborators

Ability to utilize evidence-based practices

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Product Suite

Schedule:

M-F 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm IN PERSON ROLE


Requirements/Qualifications:

Be able to work in the community and commute to Downtown Dallas

Must be able to transport clients to/from appointments

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related human services field.

Reliable transportation

Current Driver’s License

3+ years of similar experience


Licenses and Certifications:

LPC, LPC-I, LMSW, LCSW & RN- required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.61-$26.44 per hour
