Job Summary

The Crew Manager is a vital member of our team, responsible for leading and supervising a landscaping crew to ensure efficient and high-quality completion of landscape maintenance tasks. Crews typically consist of 2-7 members with varying roles and responsibilities, and the Crew Manager will need to effectively manage this team structure. This role involves hands-on work alongside the crew, as well as providing guidance, training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The Crew Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew of 2-7 landscape professionals.

• Delegate tasks and provide clear instructions to crew members.

• Operate a variety of landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other hand and power tools.

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks, such as mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and blowing.

• Ensure the quality of work meets company standards and client expectations.

• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.

• Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures.

• Complete necessary paperwork, such as timesheets and job reports.

• Communicate effectively with the Branch Manager and clients.

• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscaping or a related field.

• Ability to operate various landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Relevant certifications, such as Landscape Industry Certified Technician or Certified Landscape Professional, are a plus. Obtaining relevant certifications demonstrates a commitment to professional development and can lead to increased responsibilities and earning potential. 



Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage based on experience, ranging from $18 to $23 per hour.
