Staff Accountant

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

A 25-year-old manufacturing company on the Westside of Atlanta is adding a staff-level accountant to the team. With an in-office culture based on integrity and transparency, this company invests in their employees. This position will train under and assist the Controller and CFO in the preparation of journal entries, reconcilations, and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Budget Prep
• Financial statements:
• • Bank reconcilations
  • Journal Entries (prepais, accruals, payroll, JEs)
  • Expense account analysis, research variances
  • Fixed assets
• Set and communicate the month-end related deadlines
• Balance sheet reconciliations (inventory, AR, AP)
• Treasury and cash flow assistance

Requirements:

• Accounting degree
• 1-5 years of experience in corporate accounting
• Excel intermediate experience
• Great Plains experience (preferred)
