If you're an experienced diesel technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and making a real impact for customers, National Fleet Management has the opportunity for you.

As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you'll operate a fully equipped company service truck, perform on-site repairs and preventative maintenance, and enjoy the freedom to manage your day while supporting commercial fleets throughout your assigned territory.

Most of our technicians work within a 50–60 mile radius of their home, allowing you to stay local while enjoying the variety and independence that comes with mobile service.

Compensation

$32–$45+ per hour (based on experience and performance)

What You'll Do

As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you'll represent National Fleet Management by delivering professional, high-quality repairs directly at our customers' locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on heavy-duty commercial trucks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
  • Repair engines, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, air, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
  • Accurately document repairs, parts used, and completed work.
  • Maintain inventory and organization of your company-provided service truck.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while building strong relationships with fleet customers.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel equipment.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to work independently while managing daily responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
  • A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism.
  • A positive attitude and a team-first mindset.
