What You’ll Do

As an Associate, you will:

  • Participate in all phases of audit and assurance engagements for governmental and nonprofit clients
  • Review prior year workpapers and financial statements to prepare for engagements
  • Perform audit procedures for moderately complex areas
  • Address review notes promptly and thoroughly
  • Draft concise, well-supported management letter comments
  • Learn and assess client accounting systems and internal controls
  • Evaluate control effectiveness within assigned audit areas
  • Communicate progress and findings to supervisors and team members
  • Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting (150 credit hours completed or in progress)
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
  • Intention to complete the CPA exam within two years of employment
  • Strong problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed
