Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support a plaintiff-side employment law practice in New Jersey. This permanent, onsite role is suited for someone who is detail oriented, comfortable working in a busy litigation setting, and able to provide dependable support throughout the life of a case. The position offers the chance to partner closely with attorneys on matters involving workplace disputes while helping deliver responsive, high-quality service to clients.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, edit, and review legal documents such as pleadings, motion papers, discovery materials, subpoenas, and related correspondence for employment litigation matters.
• Assist attorneys through each stage of litigation by organizing materials and coordinating preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial.
• Maintain orderly electronic case files and ensure supporting records, exhibits, and correspondence are properly stored and easy to retrieve.
• Track filing deadlines, court schedules, and attorney calendars to help keep matters progressing on time and in compliance with procedural requirements.
• Handle state and federal court submissions, including electronic filings, and confirm that all documents are completed accurately and submitted within required timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and outside service providers to gather information and support case activity.
• Keep case management records current and accurate so attorneys have reliable access to status updates, deadlines, and key documentation.
• Provide day-to-day litigation and administrative support in coordination with attorneys and colleagues, while contributing to an efficient team environment.• At least 5 years of paralegal experience in litigation, with prior exposure to employment law or plaintiff-side civil matters strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable background preferred.
• Working knowledge of filing procedures in New Jersey state courts and/or federal courts is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with case management platforms, document management tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and legal stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active matters and competing deadlines.
• High level of accuracy, sound judgment, and attention to detail when handling legal documents and case information.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff in a fast-paced legal environment.
