Job Description:
The Patient Registrar will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring accurate registration, exceptional customer service, and efficient front-desk operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining smooth patient flow and supporting emergency department operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Register patients at the front desk and within the emergency department
- Verify, collect, and update patient demographic information
- Obtain required signatures and ensure completion of all registration documentation
- Enter and update patient information within the electronic tracking system
- Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using computer systems and learning new technology
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and friendly in stressful situations
- Confident handling patient interactions and resolving concerns respectfully
- Must be open to floating to different locations in the East Valley
- Must be open to working afternoons and/or overnights
- Must be open to working weekends
