Regal Staffing Services is hiring Equipment Technicians for a manufacturing company that produces nicotine pouch products.
Schedule
- 12-hour rotating shifts (2-week rotating schedule)
- Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- Pay Rate: $24-30 DOE
- Climate-controlled facility
Position Summary
The Equipment Technician is responsible for keeping production lines operating efficiently by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, completing repairs, and responding quickly to line downtime. This position also ensures accurate work order documentation to support the company's maintenance and reliability program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance according to CMMS work orders and complete all documentation accurately and on time.
- Respond promptly to production line downtime by troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
- Repair and adjust filling, seaming, labeling, packaging, and conveyor equipment.
- Verify equipment performance and product quality after repairs and production restarts.
- Record failure codes, parts used, and labor hours on all maintenance work orders.
- Support production changeovers, including equipment adjustments and first-product verification.
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintenance safety requirements.
- Perform basic facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, and building repairs as needed.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by pulling parts correctly and reporting low stock of critical spare parts.
- Report recurring equipment failures and safety concerns to the Equipment Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with food, beverage, canning, packaging, or similar manufacturing equipment is strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and parts diagrams.
- Experience documenting maintenance activities in a CMMS or work order system.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Trade certification or apprenticeship is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Work in an active manufacturing environment.
- Stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
- Frequently bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work around moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- PPE is required at all times in production areas.
