Quality Inspector 1

SmartTalent is hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector I for an aerospace manufacturing company located in Everett, WA.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance professional with a strong aerospace manufacturing background. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting engineering drawings, performing precision inspections, and ensuring products meet strict customer and regulatory quality standards.

Location: Everett, WA

Pay Rate: $25.00-$29.00/hour DOE

Schedule:

Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Swing Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:20 PM-10:50 PM

(Start and end times may vary based on production needs.)

Job Duties:

·Read and interpret aerospace manufacturing drawings, blueprints, customer specifications, and technical requirements.

·Perform detailed inspections using manual and electronic precision measuring equipment.

·Compare finished products to engineering drawings, manufacturing orders, purchase orders, and customer specifications.

·Complete inspection reports and accurately document acceptance or rejection of materials and finished products.

·Process non-conformance reports and assist with corrective action activities.

·Navigate and update the MRP system to accurately track product movement and inspection status.

·Review customer purchase orders, quality notes, and documentation to ensure compliance with all requirements.

·Maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards and company procedures.

·Support production as needed, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications & Skills:

·Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

·High school diploma or equivalent required.

·Ability to read and interpret aerospace mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

·Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems and corrective action processes.

·Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

·Experience using precision inspection equipment including:

oOptical Comparator

oManual CMM

oMicrometers

oHeight Gages

oCalipers

oBore Gages

oProfilometers

oDial Indicators

oOther manual and electronic measuring instruments

·Ability to evaluate surface roughness using profilometers and visual inspection methods.

·Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

·Experience with Zeiss Calypso automated CMM software is preferred.

·Must be eligible to work on projects subject to U.S. government aerospace compliance requirements.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Frequently use hands and fingers to operate precision measuring equipment.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Strong attention to detail and visual acuity required for precision inspections.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures.
