Position Summary

The Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation by managing filings, discovery, deadlines, and case documentation. This role plays a critical function in ensuring compliance with court rules and maintaining organized, litigation-ready case files.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, proofreading, citation checking, and tabling legal documents
  • Communicate professionally with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel
  • Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts
  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
  • Manage and calendar court deadlines and appearances
  • Propound and respond to discovery requests
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation paralegal experience
  • Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules
  • Experience with electronic filing in state and federal courts
  • Familiarity with California discovery rules
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Comfort working in a paperless environment
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
