Industrial Electrical Field Superintendent
Job Description
OpSource Staffing is partnering with a leading industrial construction firm to bring on a seasoned electrical leader who can own the field, guide crews, and keep complex projects moving safely and on schedule.
A day in this roleYou kick off the morning with a safety huddle, align manpower and equipment, and verify materials are staged for success. As work ramps up, you coordinate with project managers and other superintendents, ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, and NEC standards, and conduct site inspections. Throughout the day you track progress, approve time, document changes, and forecast next steps so the schedule—and the budget—stay intact. Before wrap-up, you review quality, close out daily reports, and set tomorrow’s plan.
What you’ll lead- Direct electrical crews and oversee daily field operations on industrial jobsites.
- Champion safety: run toolboxes, enforce policies, and perform site audits.
- Plan labor, equipment, and materials to hit milestones and control costs.
- Coordinate with project managers, peer superintendents, and field teams.
- Verify work meets approved plans, specifications, and NEC requirements.
- Maintain documentation: timesheets, change orders, safety reports, and progress logs.
- Assist with material procurement, scheduling, and short-/long-term forecasting.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Electrical Foreman.
- Deep working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Hands-on background with planning, material management, and crew supervision.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Self-directed with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Able to perform field work on active construction sites and lift up to 50 lbs.
- $33.00 – $38.00 per hour (based on experience)
