Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking an Medical AR Coordinator to join their Revenue Cycle team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts receivable experience who is looking to grow their career in healthcare billing and collections within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Job Description

The Medical AR Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing and organizing accounts receivable, researching claim denials, and assisting with claim corrections. This role focuses on analyzing accounts, identifying payer-related issues, and supporting the revenue cycle team in maintaining accurate and timely reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and triage assigned accounts receivable.
  • Organize and categorize claims by insurance payer.
  • Research claim denials and identify the reason for non-payment.
  • Review claims within payer portals and make appropriate claim corrections.
  • Assist with claim resolution and support follow-up efforts when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the billing system.
  • Ensure assigned accounts are processed efficiently while meeting quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve reimbursement issues and improve workflow.

Requirements

  • 2 – 3 recent years of Medical Accounts Receivable experience required.
  • Healthcare revenue cycle or medical billing experience required.
  • Experience reviewing insurance claims and denials required.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid or government payers.
  • Experience with behavioral health billing is highly preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working within multiple computer systems and payer portals.
  • Ability to meet daily productivity and quality expectations.

Additional Details

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Work Model: Hybrid after successful completion of training (minimum 6 months onsite)
  • Environment: Business office
  • Training: Extensive onboarding and hands-on training
  • Productivity: Approximately 35 – 50 accounts per day
  • Start Date: ASAP
