Recruiting Generalist

Responsibilities

  • Sources, screens, hires and onboards manufacturing candidates.
  • Develops job postings and manages career boards.
  • Collaborates with managers, supervisors, external business partners and others to achieve goals.
  • Conducts new employee orientations
  • Completes regular checkpoint meetings with new hires.
  • Attends job fairs and other trade organization events for purpose of sourcing candidates and promoting the company.
  • Provides assistance to employees in walk-in HR department.
  • Supports other department project work as needed.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing experience is essential. Experience sourcing machinists, inspectors, and support staff preferred.
  • Two or more years' experience in comparable role sourcing, screening, hiring and onboarding candidates. Experience conducting orientations preferred.
  • General working knowledge of HR principles related to employee benefits, payroll and related matters to explain benefits during onboarding and answer employee questions required.
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with ability communicate effectively with employees at all levels. Must exude professionalism and represent the company in an exemplary manner.
  • Successful candidates need to be highly motivated and results-driven, able to meet deadlines, with high level of personal accountability and ownership of work.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills required.
  • Must be able to multi-task, pivot and adapt to changing priorities daily.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in work required.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft 365 and recruiting/onboarding software/platforms.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, -or- equivalent experience in HR.
  • Training or certifications in Human Resources principles is a plus.
  • Must be able to work occasional additional hours, including before or after normal business hours, to connect with candidates.
  • Position is on-site, Monday-Friday, with employee and candidate contact daily.
