1st Class System Tester

Lockport, LA | Full-Time | Day Shift

The Systems Tester performs testing, troubleshooting, and validation of shipboard electrical, mechanical, and automation systems during vessel construction and commissioning. This role ensures systems operate safely and meet quality and customer requirements before delivery.

• Experience testing or troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, or automated systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Experience using electrical test equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work onboard vessels, at heights, and in confined spaces
• Experience working in a shipyard environment, including vessel construction, repair, commissioning, or testing activities

• Shipyard, marine, offshore, or industrial experience
• Technical degree or certification
• Experience with PLCs and automation systems
• Familiarity with maritime standards (ABS, USCG, DNV)
• Commissioning, dock trial, or sea trial experience
