As the go-to maintenance pro on a high-volume cabinet manufacturing line, you’ll arrive ready to keep complex equipment humming. Your shift runs Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–1:00 am (5x10-hour schedule), with occasional required Saturdays. The steady hours mean built-in weekly overtime and pay starting at $30–$35+ per hour, based on experience, plus a $2/hour shift differential. Expect a long-term role with advancement potential and an excellent benefits package upon hire.
What your day looks like- Move between CNC routers, sanders, saws, conveyors, paint systems, and other woodworking machinery to perform both preventive and urgent repairs.
- Diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic domains, including PLCs and related industrial control systems.
- Reposition, level, align, and commission equipment to support product changes and upgrades.
- Swap belts, tooling, and dies; lubricate and service machines; and take on other assigned tasks that keep production on schedule.
- Team up with fellow technicians and keep supervisors and impacted departments informed of progress.
- 3–5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience (required). An Associate’s degree or Journeyman card is preferred.
- Background in shop or CNC machine upkeep is strongly preferred; woodworking or cabinet manufacturing exposure is a plus.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and OEM manuals.
- Strong command of PLC controls, AC/DC and servo drives, motors, and industrial sensors.
- Meticulous attention to detail, solid teamwork, and clear communication.
- Frequently lift up to 75 lbs; occasionally lift up to 120 lbs.
- Spend most of the shift walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
- Comfort working in confined areas and at heights.
- Keen visual acuity for inspections and precision work.
- Indoor manufacturing setting with dust, noise, heat, and humidity.
- Regular exposure to moving equipment and airborne particles (e.g., wood dust, solvents).
- Consistent use of PPE and strict adherence to safety procedures are required.
