Key Responsibilities

Passenger Assistance: Help students or passengers board and exit the bus safely, including assisting those with disabilities or special needs, and ensuring proper use of safety restraints and seat belts
Safety Enforcement: Monitor passenger behavior, enforce bus rules, and maintain a secure environment during transit.
Support for Driver: Aid the bus driver by managing student behavior, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and reporting any mechanical or safety issues.
Customer Service: Provide information about routes, answer questions, and address passenger concerns to ensure a pleasant ride experience.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of behavioral incidents, and any relevant observations for school administration or transportation management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Typically a high school diploma; some employers may prefer additional coursework in customer service or related fields
Skills: Strong communication, patience, problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure. Familiarity with safety procedures and the ability to manage groups of children or passengers effectively
Experience: Previous experience in customer service, childcare, or transportation is advantageous but not always mandatory
