Job Title: Montessori Floater

Montessori Torah Academy floater aids the lead teacher in establishing a welcoming classroom where each child feels cared for and respected. The learning environment is student-centered and self-paced, allowing children to explore their own interests while mastering skills and knowledge. Our Montessori program lays the groundwork for academic success by emphasizing critical thinking, problem-solving, independent focus and working in collaboration with others.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Aid in the preparation and maintain a learning environment that is clean, organized, and enticing for young learners.

· Use behavior management techniques along with Lead teacher to promote classroom normalization.

· Support each child’s full development socially, mentally, physically and emotionally.

· Maintain positive relationships and communications with parents and peers.

· Actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

- Provide break/absence coverage for staff members working in the infant/toddler and preschool classrooms (coverage will be for Lead Teachers and Assistants).

- Must be flexible, have good time management skills, and be able to fill in where needed.

- Supervises children in educational activities occurring in the classroom, as well as during snacks and meals, naptime, outdoor play, and transition between activities.

- Supports Lead teacher during group activities and discussions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Love, patience, and respect for children.

· Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

· Strong problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.

· Collaborates effectively with colleagues/co-teacher.

. Reliable and Punctual

. Minimum 2 years of experience working in a classroom setting.

.High School Diploma

. Professional references

Preferred Education and Experience:

· A minimum of 6 ECE units in early education or related field.

. Minimum 2 years of experience working in a classroom setting.

· Knowledge of Montessori core principles and materials or willingness to learn.

About the Position

Benefits: Paid Time Off

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Head of School and Administrators.

Pay: It is based upon candidate experience and qualifications.

Employment Type: Full-time/Part Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday
