Crucial Link is hiring a dependable Production Utility Worker for a growing rubber manufacturing company in Strongsville. This position supports production operations by handling materials, assisting machine operators, packaging finished products, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Support rubber extrusion and curing production lines
- Supply machines with raw materials and production supplies
- Assist operators with machine setup, changeovers, startup, and shutdown
- Remove, package, label, and palletize finished products
- Move materials using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Inspect finished products for quality issues
- Clean machinery, equipment, and production areas
- Remove scrap and maintain an organized workspace
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Follow all safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Assist with preventative maintenance and other production duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Rubber manufacturing or extrusion experience is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Forklift experience or ability to become certified
- Ability to follow written instructions and safety procedures
- Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk throughout the shift
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Bend, stoop, twist, reach, kneel, and climb
- Work around heat, noise, moving machinery, rubber compounds, and industrial equipment
- Wear required PPE, including employee-provided steel-toed footwear
