Responsibilities


  • Maintain quality control standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of in-process materials to ensure compliance with quality standards. Perform required tests and inspections on raw materials, incoming components, manufactured assemblies, and authorize / approve product quality releases to inventory or to fulfill customer orders.
  • Read, understand, and utilize technical drawings for inspection activities.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development and review of product specifications and documentation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on returned product and institute corrective and preventative action.
  • Support internal/external audits.
  • Manage Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) by identifying, documenting and resolving non-conforming materials, ensuring compliance with Quality standards and driving continuous improvement in production processes.
  • Facilitate the administration of the Engineering Change Order (ECO) to support the company’s quality initiatives.
  • Provide support in the production / manufacturing department to troubleshoot and resolve quality problems.
  • Provide employee training on Quality systems, procedures, processes and best practices.
  • Ability to use and properly maintain calibrated monitoring and measuring equipment for inspection purposes.


Skill Set:


  • 3 - 4 years’ experience working in QC / QA in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required but equivalent experience in a Quality role will also be considered.
  • Hands-on inspection skills and broad knowledge of electro-mechanical inspection methods.
  • Detail oriented with strong data analytical skills.
  • Experience with Inventory Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management System software and implementation.



  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements
  • Working knowledge of LEAN / Six Sigma methodology and toolkit
