Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our Inventory Department. This role is responsible for accurately selecting, staging, and preparing inventory for production, shipping, and customer orders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining inventory accuracy. Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick customer and production orders accurately using pick tickets or handheld scanners.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and product descriptions before staging orders.
- Package and prepare orders for shipment while ensuring products are protected from damage.
- Restock inventory and maintain organized warehouse shelving and storage locations.
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and putting away incoming inventory.
- Perform cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (if certified).
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, inventory, or order picking experience preferred.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
- Ability to accurately read pick tickets and follow written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
