Job Description
Manufacturing Throughput & Line Performance Manager

Do you thrive on orchestrating people, materials, and machinery into a smooth, safe, high-output operation? Are you the one others call when a process stalls or a schedule shifts?

What you will do
  • Lead daily plant operations on first shift—production flow, floor organization, and housekeeping.
  • Own weekly production planning and tooling changeovers to protect throughput.
  • Drive safety culture: enforce PPE, operate forklifts properly, ensure PM is completed, and immediately report unsafe acts, conditions, or injuries to the Plant Manager.
  • Hold the line on quality: execute product and resin sampling schedules; ensure every product meets specification.
  • Hit the numbers: achieve or outperform standard production efficiencies across all lines.
  • Be the problem-solver: troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Manage materials: oversee raw material inventory; review Min/Max and over-allocated reports; reconcile production samples/schedules.
  • Coordinate broadly: communicate with other manufacturing facilities and offices to align plans and resources.
  • Lead people operations: hiring, employee development, disciplinary actions, and terminations; facilitate training and certification; promote a positive, transparent culture.
  • Control spend: manage operating supply purchases via the internal PO system or company credit card.
  • Keep growing: participate in company and outside training; understand and follow company policies and procedures.
What makes you a great fit
  • Leadership, coaching mindset, and strong interpersonal communication.
  • Math skills and hands-on inventory management experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills; experience with operating systems for Inventory and Production functions.
  • Comfort with BOM-driven products and proficiency with production equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the drive to master all company products.
Credentials
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Supervisory training/related experience.
  • Preferred: Basic industrial maintenance/mechanical training or equivalent.
Physical demands and environment
  • Stand and remain mobile for at least 8 continuous hours.
  • Perform physical labor in hot or cold conditions as needed.
  • Daily material handling using hands, arms, and legs to move finished goods.
  • Daily full-body movements: twist, bend, reach, squat; mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles.
Schedule and reporting

First shift; flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as required. Reports directly to the Plant Manager.
