Job Description
One of our clients is seeking a Teacher Aide/Dedicated Aide experience to provide services to children (K-12) in the Washington, DC area.Compensation rate is $17.50/+ an hour.SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY* Assist students with daily activities, including academic tasks, social interactions, and personal care as needed.* Provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities, following their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).* Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans and modify instructional materials for diverse learning needs.* Help students understand and complete assignments, providing encouragement and motivation.* Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and assist with conflict resolution.* Monitor student behavior, providing feedback and reporting concerns to the teacher.* Assist in classroom management, ensuring a structured and supportive learning environment.* Help prepare classroom materials and organize resources for lessons and activities.* foster effective communication between students, teachers, and parents, sharing insights about student progress and needs.* Attend meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student performance and IEP goals.* Participate in training and workshops to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in special education.* Maintain accurate records of student progress and any behavioral incidents as required.CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE* High School Diploma/GED required* Minimum of 6 months - 1 year working with children* Supports students with special needs in a classroom or individualized setting, helping them achieve their educational goals.* Works closely with teachers and other staff to provide personalized assistance, ensuring a positive learning environment.* Ability to complete and pass clearancesDTG ADVANTAGES* Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health and special education.* Compensation processed weekly.* Increase or decrease your schedule at your discretion: choose opportunities that best fit your schedule.* Accessibility to grow professionally.* Access to a broad array of client opportunities.DTG'S COMPANY OVERVIEWDelta-T Group has been in business for over 35 years, and connects professionals with client opportunities within the special education, social service, behavioral health, and disability sectors.
