The shift are hours 06:45 am - 2:45 pm (Monday to Friday)

The Floor Person will be responsible for coordinating materials and inventory flow for production work cells, ensures required materials are available for daily production, monitors production line operations, maintains production records, supports staffing coverage within the unit, performs picking and packing activities through SAP, and assists with minor machine adjustments to support production efficiency.

What you’ll do as a Floor Person:

  • Review with lead person work to be performed
  • Review the work orders to determine materials required for the daily production
  • Coordinate material requirements and ensure all necessary materials are available
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area
  • Make minor adjustments to the machine in absence of an adjuster
  • Maintains the production board and production reports (requires writing)
  • Monitors personnel in the unit to ensure adequate numbers for production, schedules breaks and notifies the lead person or supervisor of any personnel issues
  • Assist or stand-in team members as needed
  • Prepares product for shipment by picking & packing orders via SAP transactions.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead

We’re looking for a Floor Person with:

Knowledge:

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of work experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Basic computer skills and able to work with SAP

Skills:

  • Self-directed and able to safely work at a pace that meets or exceeds the departmental standards
  • Able to read, understand and follow written instructions in English
  • Able to perform basic math functions
  • Team-oriented, has excellent attendance, and professional communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Can work flexible hours with minimal notice
  • Ability to operate an electric pallet jack on a regular basis. Powered industrial truck training will be a requirement, and successful completion of the Powered Industrial Truck testing will be required.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Must be able to wear ALL safety equipment including a safety shoes and hearing protection
  • Lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs
  • Standing and walking 90% of work time
  • Ability to work up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to twist, reach, and bend
  • Requires ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects
  • Ability to operate a powered industrial truck and motorized hand truck.
  • At least 20X40 corrected vision
  • Ability to pull up to 1,500 lbs. with a non-powered hand truck
