We provide a dynamic work environment where problem-solving and efficiency are highly valued, ensuring you have the tools and support to excel.About the Role: We're looking for a motivated and experienced Compliance Manager - Property Management to lead a group of Compliance Specialists and serve as the subject matter expert for an assigned portfolio of affordable housing communities. This role supports both property-level compliance and team coaching, ensuring consistent application of program requirements across the board. Our ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly at all levels, and knows how to guide teams through complex regulatory environments.Location: North of downtown LA, Santa Clarita - site visits are required.Why You'll Love Working Here:Career Growth: Expand your expertise in Yardi and property management technology.Work-Life Balance: Enjoy generous paid time off and a supportive work environment.Comprehensive Benefits: Full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with long-term disability, a 401K with company match, and more.Collaborative Culture: Work with a dedicated team that values problem-solving, efficiency, and continuous improvement.What You'll Do:Supervise, mentor, and support a team of 4+ Compliance SpecialistsPerform second-level reviews of files for LIHTC, PBV, HOME, and other program types as neededProvide technical guidance on student rules, income calculations, layered programs, and special circumstancesSupport team members in meeting deadlines and audit readiness, including managing audit prep with travel to sites ahead of agency or investor auditsReview all audit corrections and correspondencePartner with property managers to troubleshoot challenging compliance casesEnsure all program files and documentation are accurate and aligned with regulatory requirementsMonitor EIV ComplianceAssist with HUD Rent Increase paperwork, including UA BaselinesHelp train new hires and roll out policy or regulatory updatesOther duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of direct experience in affordable housing compliance, including file review and approvalMust live in geographic area of assigned portfolioAbility to travel to sites up to 75% of the time as neededPrior experience in a lead or mentorship role preferredStrong working knowledge of LIHTC, PBV, HOME, and/or Bond programsFamiliarity with audit preparation and layered compliance scenariosStrong communication, organization, and team-building skillsCertification such as HCCP, COS, or equivalent highly preferredProficiency in Yardi Voyager software is a plusIf you're a motivated, experienced Compliance Manager with a passion for affordable housing and regulatory compliance, Aperto is the perfect place for you.
