Position: RCM Billing Specialist (Medical Billing & Denials)

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 / Per hour

Job Type: Contract (6 Weeks) with Potential Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

About the Opportunity

Addison Group is partnering with a growing healthcare organization that is expanding its Revenue Cycle Management team. We are seeking an experienced RCM Billing Specialist who is passionate about finding revenue opportunities, resolving claim issues, and improving reimbursement outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong medical billing background who enjoys working denials, researching claims, and ensuring providers receive accurate reimbursement. You'll be joining a newly developing team where your expertise and problem-solving skills will make an immediate impact.

What You'll Do

  • Investigate and resolve denied, delayed, or underpaid claims.
  • Identify opportunities to recover lost revenue through billing and claims review.
  • Process and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Assist with prior authorization activities as needed.
  • Review coding-related billing issues and coordinate corrections when necessary.
  • Work within the organization's EHR and practice management systems to manage claims and account activity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payer issues and improve billing workflows.
  • Ensure all billing activities comply with payer requirements and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of medical billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle experience.
  • Strong understanding of the medical billing process and claims lifecycle.
  • Experience working insurance denials and reimbursement issues.
  • Ability to research and resolve billing discrepancies independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Experience with NextGen or another EPM/EHR system.
  • Medical Billing and Coding certification.
  • Prior experience with accounts receivable follow-up.
  • Knowledge of coding-related billing processes.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Fully onsite in Dallas, TX.
  • Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
  • Professional healthcare office environment.
  • Training provided on systems and workflow processes.
