Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Field Technician for our client. This role is responsible for providing on-site technical service and support at wastewater treatment facilities, performing equipment installations, repairs, troubleshooting, testing, and system modifications, diagnosing operational issues and recommending improvements, and working closely with client teams to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient water treatment system performance in a hands-on field environment.

This role is responsible for providing on-site technical service and support at wastewater treatment facilities, performing equipment installations, repairs, troubleshooting, testing, and system modifications, diagnosing operational issues and recommending improvements, and working closely with client teams to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient water treatment system performance in a hands-on field environment.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Providing responsive, on-site technical service and support in a variety of wastewater treatment settings—each day brings new challenges and environments.
- Diagnosing and solving technical issues involving water treatment equipment; developing recommendations for adjustments or upgrades as needed.
- Performing hands-on work such as installations, repairs, troubleshooting, testing, and system modifications at customer job sites.
- Collaborating with client teams in the field to resolve operational issues and offer practical, consultative solutions.
- Acting as a trusted, on-the-ground partner to our clients—integrating into their team to help improve system performance and reliability.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- Flexibility and adaptability to tackle a wide variety of tasks that change from day to day—no two days are the same in this role.
- Ability to learn and apply the principles and procedures of operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant.
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physically demanding, hands-on work.
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders
- Ability to lift 70lbs
- Previous experience with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems is a plus, but not required—industry-specific training is provided.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly relay information in dynamic field environments.
- A valid driver's license is required; CDL is preferred.
- A strong commitment to safety, both on the road and on the job site.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
