Supply Planner
We are seeking a Supply Planner to manage material inventories for key product categories supporting finished goods production in a fast-moving CPG food and beverage environment. This role owns material planning, supplier coordination, MRP accuracy, inventory health, obsolescence reduction, and cross-functional planning support.
The best fit will bring hands-on supply planning or materials planning experience from CPG, food and beverage, dairy, natural products, or a similarly complex manufacturing environment, with strong SAP/APO and advanced Excel skills.
Location: Broomfield, CO
Work Setting: Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite per week
Role Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 5-6 month contract with potential to extend and possible longer-term opportunity based on performance and business need
Pay Rate: $40-$50/hr, depending on experience level and client approval

401(k) eligibility begins after 12 months as a CRG employee. Benefit eligibility, plan details, waiting periods, and employee costs should be confirmed during onboarding.
Colorado paid sick leave may apply. Colorado employees accrue 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year, which equals up to 6 standard eight-hour days per year.
Responsibilities
- Own material inventory planning for assigned categories to support finished goods production plans.
- Maintain material plans that balance service, inventory, days of supply, supplier constraints, and obsolescence risk.
- Keep MRP planning data accurate in SAP and related external planning processes.
- Review planning parameters consistently and update them based on changing demand, supply, run rates, lead times, safety stock needs, and project criteria.
- Lead regular material planning meetings with suppliers to ensure supply plans are adequate for short-term and long-term production needs.
- Develop packaging run-out plans with project managers, supply planning, marketing, and suppliers to reduce obsolete inventory while meeting launch, transition, and timeline goals.
- Participate in weekly supply planning meetings with finished goods planning, deployment, forecasting, procurement, and related partners.
- Track and report KPIs such as obsolescence, supplier inventory levels, DIO, service performance, inventory risk, and material availability.
- Partner closely with Supply Planning, Procurement, Marketing, Manufacturing, Suppliers, Project Management, Finance, Creative Services, Master Data, R&I, and Quality.
- Support sourcing optimization, safety stock optimization, forecast alignment, and material planning discipline across assigned categories.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of related supply planning, material planning, production planning, inventory planning, or procurement planning experience.
- CPG industry experience required; food and beverage, dairy, natural products, packaging, or regulated consumer goods experience strongly preferred.
- SAP/APO knowledge required.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes, safety stock strategies, materials management, and supplier management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze planning issues, communicate risk early, and drive corrective action.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, project management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with planning, procurement, manufacturing, marketing, finance, quality, project teams, suppliers, and master data partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS/ASCM certification.
- Experience with packaging run-outs, packaging changes, material transitions, product launches, or SKU rationalization.
- Experience tracking obsolescence, DIO/DOS, supplier inventory, service, material shortages, and forecast-related material risk.
- Background in dairy, refrigerated products, organic/natural foods, food manufacturing, beverage, or better-for-you CPG brands
