Job Description
Job Title: GEO2- Geologist 2
Location: Vincent AL (Onsite)
Skills and Responsibilities
· 4-Year degree in related field or 3 - 10 years of related experience
· Experience in the install groundwater and surface water instrumentation systems in and around dams, levees and CCR sites for the collection of real time data collection/performance monitoring
o Instrumentation and maintenance will include – inclinometers, water quality equipment (pH, ORP, DO, turbidity, conductivity), portable solar battery charging stations and cellular and satellite communication systems
· Experience in executing field investigations utilizing various drilling methods and resources
· Experience with soil and rock logging, monitoring well construction, groundwater monitoring, and field data reporting
· 4. Experience in providing technical and safety oversight to drilling contractor and consultants
Special Notes
· Typical Worker/Geologist work week is 4, 10 hour days (Monday - Thursday) with some 10 day shifts.
· Extensive travel throughout the southeastern United States mainly Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.
