Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person Role, Monday to Friday 8:30AM - 5PM OR 9AM to 5:30PM
What You’ll Do:
As a Legal Assistant, you’ll play a critical support role for our Case Managers by handling essential pre-suit and litigation tasks that keep cases progressing smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Initiating property damage (PD) matters, including setting up initial calls with insurance adjusters and securing estimates and photos
- Obtaining verbal confirmations for BI and PIP coverage
- Requesting and securing BI and PIP declaration pages
- Managing IME scheduling, reminders, and rescheduling as needed
- Scheduling and sending reminders for recorded statements (R/S)
- Coordinating EUOs, including appointment reminders and obtaining meeting links
- Sending 768 demand letters via certified mail after policy limits are confirmed
- Conducting monthly treatment follow-ups to verify appointments, MRIs, and ongoing care
- Requesting chiropractic records once clients confirm completion of treatment
- Requesting ER records and billing through Ciox
- Requesting PIP logs by phone, email, or fax with insurance adjusters
- Updating tasks, notes, and documentation in the case management system
- Ensuring files are accurate, organized, and fully up to date to support Case Managers
What We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for someone who:
- Has prior experience as a Legal Assistant in a personal injury firm (preferred)
- Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Is comfortable communicating with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and internal team members
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate case management software (Filevine experience is a plus!)
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Bonus points: Is bilingual in Haitian Creole, Russian, or Spanish
