Middle School Language Arts Teacher (7th-8th Grade)
Job Summary:
Hillel Academy of Denver, a premier Jewish educational institution in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Language Arts Teacher to join our team. As a Middle School Language Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our 7th and 8th-grade students. Utilizing your expertise in language arts, you will design and implement comprehensive lessons that foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking. As an afternoon job, this position is ideal for a recently retired teacher or someone who wants a better work/life balance.
About the Role:
Teach language arts classes to 7th and 8th-grade students, including reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary instruction
Implement curriculum that aligns with Hillel Academy's educational philosophy and standards
Assess student progress and provide support to ensure students meet their academic goals
Collaborate with the General Studies Director of Education to develop and implement projects and activities
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and provide regular progress reports to parents
Stay current with best practices in language arts education
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
Create and manage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and respect for all students
Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
