Role snapshot

You will tackle
  • Installation and maintenance of production machinery and facility systems.
  • Emergency/unscheduled equipment repairs during production; scheduled maintenance during service intervals.
  • Simple machinist assignments and multi-craft mechanical duties.
  • System-level troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines.
  • Reading and applying equipment documentation and work orders.
  • Problem diagnosis, part replacement/repair, functional testing, and adjustments.
  • Preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry as required.
  • Use of hand/power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Detection and reporting of faulty operations and defective materials to supervision.
  • Compliance with safety rules; maintenance of clean, orderly work areas.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.

  • Manufacturing environment with noise, fumes, and dust; PPE required: safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, face shields.
  • Workload fluctuates; critical deadlines and multiple maintenance requests can raise pressure, particularly in peak periods.
  • Irregularities in workflow and schedule happen intermittently; expect occasional extra hours on weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
  • No travel required.
Physical essentials
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Occasional crouching/stooping; climb up to 60 vertical steps; frequent walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Frequent reach at arm’s length; occasional overhead reach; twist/turn at neck and trunk.
  • Continual tool and part handling; continual verbal and auditory communication.
  • Close visual focus for detailed tasks; strong mental dexterity to work independently with sustained attention and awareness.
Must-haves
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical degree or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Manufacturing production background; packaging industry experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience highly preferred.
  • Willing to work the available shift (TBD), plus weekends and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice.
  • Proven safety and quality performance; strong mechanical aptitude and basic math.
  • Comfort using computers and entering data; prior CMMS experience desired.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated; consistently follows written procedures and safety requirements.
  • Professional demeanor and clear communication skills.
