Position Summary:
The Sorter is responsible for accurately and efficiently sorting soiled linen received from hospitals. This position plays a critical role in maintaining proper linen segregation and supporting production flow while meeting established productivity and quality standards.
The Sorter is responsible for accurately and efficiently sorting soiled linen received from hospitals. This position plays a critical role in maintaining proper linen segregation and supporting production flow while meeting established productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain segregation of linen products received from hospitals in accordance with established procedures.
- Control and monitor the level of soiled linen on conveyor belts to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Accurately and rapidly transfer soiled linen from the conveyor belt into the appropriate soil sort bin or designated hamper for conventional washers.
- Consistently meet or exceed minimum production standards and support ongoing efforts to improve production goals.
- Accurately complete all required productivity and production tracking forms in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
Work Environment:
- Industrial laundry or production facility.
- Exposure to conveyor systems, soiled linen, and production equipment.
