Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a local Shipping and Receiving role.

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist position involves safely and accurately processing incoming materials, staging inventory, and preparing outgoing products. Daily duties include verifying packing lists against purchase orders, operating forklifts, using warehouse software, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Previous experience in packaging orders for shipment required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receiving: Unload incoming shipments, inspect parts for damage, and verify that the delivered quantities and part numbers match purchase orders.
• Inventory Control: Log incoming goods, accurately stock parts in their designated warehouse locations, and perform regular cycle counts.
• Shipping: Pack outgoing agricultural sprinkler and valve orders, print shipping labels, and coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups.
• Logistics & Communication: Work alongside production departments to ensure shipping schedules are met, and report any supply or delivery discrepancies.
• Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory control.
• Skills: Basic computer and math skills, familiarity with ERP/warehouse management software, and experience using barcode scanners.
• Certifications: Valid driver's license and the ability to operate (or be certified to operate) forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Physical Demands: Stand for long periods, and regularly bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
