Where you'll workLocation: Dripping Springs, TX — (Trace Analytics – 15768 Hamilton Pool Rd., Austin, TX 78738)
Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST
A day in the roleYou begin by consolidating results generated across the lab, exporting datasets from instruments, and verifying every value. You run calculations, compare results to specification thresholds for each analyte, and assemble polished reports. Midday finds you partnering with technicians to clarify methods or instrumentation details; in the afternoon, you finalize compliance certifications, proofread, and deliver reports to customers. You close by archiving completed work with the correct naming conventions and performing backups to protect the record.
What you'll do- Aggregate scientific data from multiple sources; confirm accuracy and completeness.
- Perform required calculations and build clear, compliant customer reports.
- Export and organize instrument output; check results against analyte-specific limits prior to certification.
- Proofread final reports, send to customers, and archive using defined naming and backup procedures.
- Analyze data with an understanding of lab equipment and procedures; collaborate closely with technicians.
- Communicate effectively with lab personnel and customer service to resolve missing data or deviations and keep timelines on track.
- Safeguard business and client confidentiality at all times.
- Bachelor of Science degree.
- 2+ years in a laboratory analyst or quality control function.
- Consistent adherence to SOPs and the Quality Manual.
- Familiarity with Agilent instruments, ChemStation, and OpenLab CDS is a plus.
- Detail obsession: The work impacts the safety and quality of breathing air—accuracy is non‑negotiable.
