Lighting Engineer
Job Description
This Lighting Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and improving commercial lighting products, especially LED-based systems and integrated controls.
Core Responsibilities:
%CF; Design and develop LED luminaires and lighting systems for commercial/industrial applications
%CF; Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, product management, and sales to bring products from concept → production
%CF; Perform photometric analysis, thermal management, and electrical design validation
%CF; Support custom product requests and specification-driven projects
%CF; Ensure products meet industry standards (UL, DLC, energy codes, etc.)
%CF; Contribute to continuous product innovation (efficiency, controls, human-centric lighting, etc.)
%CF; Troubleshoot and improve existing product lines
What They’re Looking For
%CF; Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
%CF; Experience in lighting, LED systems, or electrical product design (this is big)
%CF; Knowledge of:
%CB; LED drivers, controls, and power systems
%CB; Photometrics / lighting layouts (AGi32 or similar is a plus)
%CB; Thermal and mechanical design considerations
%CF; Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
%CF; Strong collaboration skills—this is a team-first culture
You should be proficient in:
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
