PRN Perianesthesia Nurse (Pre-Op, PACU, and Stage 2)

Perianesthesia Nurse – PRN (8 hour shifts)

We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented RN to join our dynamic perianesthesia team on a PRN basis. Flexible shifts available Monday–Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. — with no nights, weekends, or call required!

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Op:

• Perform patient assessments and pre-op education
  
  
• Obtain and review consents and test results
  
  
• Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery
  
  
• Maintain chart completeness and communicate findings with the care team
  
  

Post-Op/Recovery:

• Deliver individualized care in the immediate post-op period
  
  
• Monitor patient status and respond to complications
  
  
• Provide discharge education and follow-up care instructions
  
  
• Ensure documentation and coordination with the clinical team
  
  

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Alaska (or ability to obtain)
  
  
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred
  
  
• Perianesthesia or PACU experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right candidate
