SmartHire is partnering with a global leader to hire a Maintenance Technician I in Redmond, WA. This is a full time, direct hire position. Ideal candidate will have 1+ years of mechanical/maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment

Position: Maintenance Technician I

Location: Redmond, WA

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

DETAILS

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, completing repairs, and helping ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

·Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

·Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues to minimize downtime.

·Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, and work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

·Perform general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, drywall, doors, HVAC support, and basic electrical repairs.

·Assist with equipment inspections, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.

·Monitor and maintain maintenance inventory, ordering parts and supplies as needed.

·Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to support production schedules.

·Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

·Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.

·Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

·Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing technical training.

·Be available for occasional on-call, overtime, or weekend work as business needs require.

·Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

·High school diploma or GED.

·Minimum of one year of maintenance or mechanical experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.

·Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hand tools, and power tools.

·Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform routine repairs.

·Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred

·Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

·Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.

·Experience with electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, hydraulics, or pneumatics.

·Relevant technical certifications or vocational training.

Working Conditions

·Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.

·Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

·Regular attendance and a commitment to workplace safety are essential.
