Are you a compassionate and experienced Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or certified drug and alcohol counselor (CADC) dedicated to guiding individuals toward recovery and emotional well-being? We are seeking a full-time CPSS/CADC to support our adult recovery center in Pembroke and Parkton, NC.

Your impact on the team’s mission

The CPSS/CADC is a vital role on the Ron Barnes recovery team leading Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) group therapy sessions and providing case management. They ensure that all clients receive high-quality care in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment either at the recovery center or at the off-site farm in Pembroke.

Some of the daily activities you would do as the CPSS/CADC are:

  • coordinating care
  • updating PCP’s and entering documentation into the system
  • facilitating group therapy sessions to include evening sessions
  • ensuring the quality care and safety of the individuals served

Position details, compensation, and benefits

This position is Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm that can include late afternoon, early evening sessions. To care for our team members, we offer a comprehensive benefits package for all benefit eligible positions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities you will bring.

  • Must be either a CPSS-certified peer support specialist, OR
    • a CADC-R, minimum.
  • Must possess a current, valid, NC driver’s license and insurance with a clean driving record.
